While part of the pleasure of renting a holiday villa in Pollensa is the ease and freedom of living in a private home, it is always nice to add a little luxury and comfort to the domestic holiday bliss.
One way we like to make our new guests comfortable at their holiday villas is to arrange for a few extra services during your stay; like a welcome pack of food and drinks waiting in the fridge when you arrive.
Late arrivals and delayed flights are the times when these are most useful, but even if you arrive at a civilised time, do you really want the supermarket to be the first place you go on holiday?
Most people who rent a villa for their holidays in Mallorca will find that the properties are available on a weekly basis, from Saturday to Saturday. This obviously allows for easier scheduling and to fill the maximum amount of weeks in the summer calendar. It also means that everyone is landing and leaving on the same day! So when you eventually get to your holiday property, you are faced with an empty fridge and the option of supermarket queues or very busy restaurants.
Pre booking a welcome pack will go some way towards easing this and help you get settled before you head out to explore the area.
When you book your villa with us you can order one of a variety of welcome hampers from essentials, like milk and wine to the finest luxury items. It is a good way to start the holidays and saves you the hassle of having to go to the shops as soon as you arrive at the house.

When you rent a holiday villa in the countryside you need a car. Even if you don't want to drive much, or very little at all, and plan to spend most of your time enjoying the villa pool and terrace, you may need to shop or want the odd night in Pollensa and your holiday home will often be a bit too far out of town to walk.
That's not to say that you can't get away with a taxi or airport transfer at the start and end of your holidays and rent some bikes for the rest of the time. And if that's your plan, it's a great one.
But if you do think you will need to rent a car you should know that the roads are flooded with hire cars in the summer and the streets in Pollensa old town, as well as Port de Pollensa and even Palma, can be extremely narrow. If you can all fit in, think about renting a small car, it will be easier to zip about in and a lot less hassle to park.

To get from Palma airport to Pollensa is fairly straighforward and takes around 45 minutes, if traffic is low. In the peak summer months this isn't always the case of course, and Saturdays, when you arrive and leave Mallorca, are particularly unpredictable. Some people opt for an airport taxi or transfer service to take them directly to their holiday rental and avoid all the hassle of driving and finding the place.
Aside from traffic, most villas are tucked away down unnamed country tracks and can be infuriatingly difficult to find. Although GPS helps of course. And holidays in remote villas do require some form of transport. You may have found a townhouse to stay in or a pad on the beach in Puerto Pollensa or Cala San Vicente. In which case you may not need to rent a car at all.
Getting from Palma airport to your villa is much easier by taxi.
Book a taxi through us from 79.00 € / 4 people. The price is provided from the airport to the property in and around the town of Pollensa. If the property is in another locality, check our prices and availability.
There are many bike hire companies in the north of the island, but only one has the expertise and experience. For bikes hire in Port de Pollensa contact us and we will get you kitted out. Our guys have been running a smooth operation since before cycling was even a thing here and offer great bikes, kit and group rides.

Holidays are meant to be for relaxing and taking time off. If that means you don't feel like providing meals for the whole family every day, why not book a private chef to come to your villa and do the work for you?
Paul and Caroline moved to the island several years ago and set up a vibrant little cafe/restaurant at the foot of the Calvario Steps; Manzanas y Peras served some of the most delicious tapas in town and now they are bringing the restaurant to your home.
They will do the shopping, prepping and cooking at your villa kitchen and then serve you on the terrace. From breakfast to tapas, luncheons on the terrace and romantic dinners by candlelight, paellas, bbqs and canapes, or really anything you fancy, all their meals are exquisite and the service is low key and friendly.
For day and evening childcare, we work with English speaking professional child care providers Jelly and Ice-Cream.
They have now been working in Mallorca for 8 years and can look after your child or group of children, on or off the beach, or at your villa and give you a little holiday time too. They will provide additional nannies according to the size and mix of the group.
And if you need time off in the evening too, whether it is for one evening during your stay or every evening, they will accommodate any of your babysitting requirements.
All their nannies will come to your villa, apartment or townhouse to take care of your child in a familiar environment. Care days will be planned according to the child/children’s individual desires and weather conditions.
Additional cleaning is sometimes that little extra that makes life feel luxurious and let's face it, it isn't really what you want to do yourself, not on holiday anyway.
Price: 18.00 € / hour. Extra cleaning service at your convenience.
Pool towels take up that important luggage space meant for extra shoes, so why carry what you can easily get here? Rent a few pool towels for the villa and have one less thing to worry about and to pack!
Price is 10.00 € / per towel during length of stay. Ideal for keeping weight allowances down.
This is a specially good plan if you have teens travelling with you. They can get restless and grumpy and a game of ping pong will keep them entertained. But table tennis is fun for everyone, so if you have the space, book a table for the week. it's highly unlikely it won't get used!Rental cost 120.00 €. Consult beforehand if there is space at the accommodation and availability.
This is possibly the best service of all. Not a necessity, unless you are a cyclist maybe, and certainly a luxury, a private massage by the pool is one of those things in life that are extremely good for you, make you look and feel better, and take zero effort on your part.
Massage. Price 80.00€ / hour. A relaxing massage poolside, a perfect luxury to add to your holiday experience.
